The Center for Innovative Education at Kean University is offering an exciting opportunity for schools to become part of a pilot cohort for the Powerful Learning Practices (PLP) program created by Will Richardson and Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach. Powerful Learning Practices offers a unique opportunity for educators in New Jersey to participate in long-term, job-embedded professional development program that immerses them in 21st Century learning environments.  The PLP model is currently enabling hundreds of educators around the country to experience the transformative potential of social Web tools to build global learning communities and re-envision their own personal learning practice.

Kean University will be serving as the hub for a comprehensive cohort in NJ consisting of 20 teams that will hit every rung in the educational ladder from K-12 to the NJ DOE.  We are looking for teams that acknowledge and value the new learning opportunities that these technologies afford, and are willing to be part of a ground breaking experience in education in NJ.

Below you will find the updated Powerful Learning Practices brochure that co-brands Kean as an active partner in the program, as well as a detailed description of the program, outcomes for participating Administrators and Teacher Leaders, a description of the process, costs, and important information on how to reserve your spot in this pilot program. I've also included a URL for a letter of intent for your district.
