Prices exclude single room accommodations; individual trip or airfare cancellation fees; passport and/or visa fees; international airport or departure taxes; personal items (telephone calls, laundry, alcoholic beverages, etc.); mandatory travel insurance; Kean University tuition and fees for corresponding academic course(s); Travelearn administrative fee.

Administrative fee and / or deposit payments and final payments for non-EF Tours programs may be made by check or money order payable to Kean University; payments made by credit card are acceptable but must be processed at least one day prior to due date in order to confirm approval. Cash payments will not be accepted.

All participants must pay a non-refundable administrative fee of $100.00 ($150.00 for iStory tours).

Matriculated Kean University students should contact the Center for International Studies for information regarding Financial Aid by the dates specified for each trip.

Payments must be provided to the Center for International Studies by the stated deadlines. Completed Travelearn Participant Form, Travel Waiver, and copy of passport must accompany administrative fee / deposit payment.

Completed Travel Waiver is required from each participant.

Individuals may request to be put on a waiting list if a payment deadline has passed or maximum number of trip participants has been reached. Late fees may apply.

Participants seeking academic credit for a Travelearn experience are responsible for registering for the academic course via KeanWISE. Participants must register for the corresponding academic course(s) prior to the semester in which the Travelearn takes place.

Participants who register for the academic course will be charged according to their student status (e.g., in-state, out-of-state, undergraduate, graduate). Tuition and fees for academic-year Travelearn-related courses for full-time, matriculated students will be assessed under the full-time flat rate, although overload charges will apply if the maximum number of credits per semester is exceeded. Tuition and fees for part-time students will be assessed on a per credit basis. Tuition and fees for summer Travelearn-related courses will be assessed on a per credit basis.

Travel insurance is mandatory for all Travelearn participants. Timely purchase of comprehensive travel insurance is the sole responsibility of the participant. Proof of travel insurance coverage must be provided to the Center for International Studies immediately after it is purchased by the participant. Contact the Center for International Studies for additional details regarding travel insurance.

Participants who elect for optional excursions, go-ahead or stay-behind arrangements, or other activities not included in the Travelearn program acknowledge that they do so on their own risk. Such arrangements must be made directly with the travel agent or tour company by the individual participants.

Request for refund of final payment for non-EF Tours programs must be provided in writing to the Center for International Studies no later than the dates listed for a given program.

Information contained in publications issued by the Center for International Studies states the official position of Kean University and supersedes any inconsistent writing or representation, regardless of source.

All programs are subject to Kean University Travelearn policies and procedures, as well as the terms and conditions, including refund policies, established by the travel agent or tour company.
