Spend spring break in Rome, Florence, Paris and London, immersing yourself in European culture while learning how the American press was shaped centuries ago by then revolutionary ideas of news free of government control.
The trip includes visits to some of the most famous museums and historic sites in Europe: the Roman Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, Accademia, Notre Dame, Arc de Triumph, Musee d’Orsay, Versailles, Parliament, Buckingham Palace. Students will also visit international news organizations to learn first-hand the challenges facing these operations and how they are responding to the sweeping changes brought on by technology and social forces. 
Participants are welcome to come without registering for academic credit. Students wishing to take the trip for credit are required to have completed COMM 1402 or have the permission of the instructor.

Schedule of payments and financial aid: 

October 15, 2009  - Nonrefundable administrative fee of $100 due to CIS 

November 1, 2009 - Nonrefundable $150 deposit to ACIS (www.acis.com)

January 10, 2010 - Full payment of program fee due to ACIS

Matriculated students seeking financial aid to cover program cost must contact the Center for International Studies by November 13, 2009


To sign up:
1. Submit the Travelearn Participant Form, Travel Waiver, copy of your passport and $100 administrative fee by the deadline above.
            •     Matriculated Kean students seeking financial aid to apply towards program fees must complete and   
                  submit a Travelearn Financial Aid Contract in addition to the above documents.

2. Upon receipt of these documents, CIS will provide instructions on completing registration and payment.


3. If seeking academic credit, register for the Spring 2010 semester by obtaining the permission code from the academic department and registering in KeanWISE.
